Here's what you missed on Glee:The Next Revolution.
Daniel was desperate to recruit new members to join The Melodic Notes so she assigned the 7 members already in to go around singing to convince new people to join.
Daniel:You guys are going to help me recruit more members.
Justin gets in trouble and for punishment is forced to join glee club.
Randy:Mr.Muroney will be happy to know he has another member.
Isolated Zander becomes smitten with Cheerio,Bella and ends up joining the glee club to impress her.
Daniel:Congrats,Mr.Johnson and welcome to the club
Sabrina quit but then decided to come back to The Melodic Notes causing Daniel to have plenty of members.
And that's what you missed on Glee:The Next Revolution.
Daniel walked into the choir room to see all the glee club students in there on time.Today marked the first day as a full glee club.It was safe to say he was excited.He could only hope they were too.
But by the look of things it was hard to tell if they were even interested.
Justin,who was sitting with Colby,had his eyes fixed on his iphone.Which made no sense in Daniel's mind.Jutin Newman was as hard-headed as could be, never listened, and was always in trouble.....but yet he got an iphone? The rules of parenting had obviously changed since when he was a teenager.
Then you had the little 'brat pack' if you will which consisted of Parker,Ethan,Stella,and Sabrina.Stella was talking to them about something nonstop and the three were all listening intently.Well two out of three them were.Ethan kept on sneaking glances at Sabrina.It was obvious that Ethan was harboring a crush on her.Sabrina just sat there unaware her eyes and mind focused on her best friend.
Max and Addison were sitting in the back.Max looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but here while Addison just looked like she was waiting for the unexpected to happen.Which is something he had noticed about her.Every once in a while she would have these moments where it was like she was remembering something and then her whole body language would change.Daniel would have to talk to her about it or get Jasmine to do it one.
Last you had the two best friends,Ariana and Dina,Zander and Mason.Zander just sat there his face a mixture of confusion with a hint of boredom.Mason and Ariana were sitting there with their faces lit up. If anyone in this whole room was as excited as he was about the glee club's first day it was without doubt them.Dina sat in her chair next to Ariana with her head tilted and her eyebrows raised. Daniel couldn’t tell whether she was hard in thought, bored, or if that was just how she was.It was clear that this very diverse glee club he had needed to be nudged if they were ever gonna do anything.
"Alright." he said clapping his hands together,"Let's get started."
"Yay." Devonne said dryly
Daniel deciding to not comment went back to what he was going to say.
"I've thought of our first task as a glee club." he announced
"Task? Like assignment?" Parker asked
"Assignment? This isn't school." Justin complained
"Actually if we're being technical,this is school." Daniel corrected,"But that's not the point."
"Then what is the point?" Dina asked
"Well if you guys would stop interrupting,I could tell you." Daniel answered,"Anyway,what I've been trying to say is that the assignment this week is really and fun and easy.It should be simple for you all to do."
"Well what is it?" Ethan asked
"Glad you asked.The assignment is for you all to get to know one another."
"That's your assignment?" Devonne snorted
"Yeah.Half of you all barely know one another.By the end of this assignment that will change.A team needs to know all of its' team mates or they can't be effective.And that's what we are.We're a team."
"So you just pair us up and we do what? Talk to them? Go to their house?" Kat asked
"Not exactly.You and your partner will have to sing a duet."
"Oh brother."Colby voiced his annoyance with the idea
"This is insane." Franchesca complained
Daniel sighed as sounds of unhappiness filled the room.As members of the glee club complained about how they hated this idea,Daniel began to think of what to do.Finally an idea came to him.
"So I'm guessing you guys hate this assignment."
"Yes." Justin answered honestly
"Then how about we raise the stakes?" Daniel offered
"What do you mean by that?" Ariana questioned
"I don't know." Daniel began to walk around the room,"I was thinking winning duet gets to be the leads at Sectionals."
"Really?" Stella's eyes widened
"I'm a man of my word." Daniel nodded,"At the end of the week you all with perform duets and whoever wins the assignments gets to sing lead."
"This just got more interesting." Devonne smirked
"So what do you all think?" Daniel asked
"I'm in." Mason told him
"Anyone body else?"
The rest of the glee club voiced their agreement to Daniel's relief.
"Alright,so let's get your partners picked out."
"Who's gonna chose our partners?" Kellan asked
"You are." Daniel said walking over to his desk and picking up a bowl,"In this bowl is all of you guys' names.Whoever name you pick is the name of your partner."
Daniel walked over to Sabrina first.He held out the bowl to her.
"Sabrina,you're first."
Sabrina took a deep breath and then reached her hand in the bowl.She pulled out a white slip of paper and opened it up.
"Max Franklin." she read aloud
All eyes turned to Max who was just sitting there with an unconcerned look on his face.
"Looks like we're going to be working together,Twizzlers." Max said with a wink
Sabrina simply bit her bottom lip as Ethan felt his face turn red.
Daniel went through the whole glee club until everyone had a partner.
"Okay so the final list goes like this.
- Stella and Justin
- Franchesca and Colby
- Ethan and Dina
- Sabrina and Max
- Addison and Zander
- Devonne and Parker
- Ariana and Kellan
- Kat and Mason
Once he was done,there were more sounds of discomfort.No one liked the partner that they had got.
"We should have just chose our own partners." Ethan griped
"Okay enough!" Daniel said loudly,"The assignment is to get with people you don't really know.If I let you all choose your own partners,you would choose your friends."
"This is hardly fair." Ariana crossed her arms
"Well life isn't fair." Daniel retorted,"Now this is my glee club and my rules apply here.This isn't some joke.If you thought it was,you were clearly mistaken.Jokes aren't gonna win Sectionals or Regionals and they sure as heck won't win Nationals."
None of the glee club said anything.Daniel couldn't tell if it was because they were surprised by his tone or because they were still sullen about their partners.
"By the end of the week you will sing a song.A duet to be exact.Your partner is your partner like it or not.Understand."
Addison looked around the room to see that no one was moving.As much as she didn't like the idea,she respected Mr. M enough to go along with his rules.
"Fine by me." Addison ended the silence
"Well if princess is game,then so am I." Max spoke up
Reluctantly,the rest of the glee club voiced their agreement with the terms as well.
"Great.Have fun guys." Daniel said with a smile
"I don't like this." Stella complained,closing her locker door
Parker,Ethan,and Sabrina began to follow her as she walked down the hallway.
"I don't think anyone likes it." Parker reasoned
"I kinda do." Sabrina shrugged
"You do?" Ethan asked in disbelief
"Well it can't be that bad." Sabrina said to them
"You have Max for a partner." Parker reminded her,"It's already bad for you."
Ethan didn't say anything as Sabrina furrowed her eyebrows.He wouldn't say it out loud but he wasn't particularly too pleased with Max being Sabrina's partner.Of course,he'd never tell her that.No,he would keep his displeasure about the situation to himself.
"All I'm saying is that it wouldn't hurt to try." Sabrina replied
"I have to disagree with that statement." Stella told her
"Why?" Ethan asked
"Because working with Justin Newman will literally kill me."
"Not if it kills me first." Justin said walking up to them
"Who even invited you over here?" Stella asked bitterly
"Didn't you know? I'm like a genie.Anytime you say my name I magically appear." Justin winked
"You're annoying." Stella informed him
"And you're a diva." Justin retorted
Stella balled her fists angrily.Sabrina stayed silent while Parker and Ethan exchanged glances.
"It's gonna be a long week." Ethan muttered
Mason was at his locker getting textbooks for his next classes.He closed his locker,textbooks in hand and turned around to see Kat standing there.He was a little taken back.Girls didn't regularly just show up at his locker.Especially not Cheerios.
"Um,hello." he finally spoke
"Hey,I'm Kat." she said extending her hand
"Mason." he replied shaking the outstretched hand
"You're my partner this week." Kat informed him,"But I'm guessing you already knew that."
"You guessed right." Mason answered
For a second,Kat didn't say anything.She just eyed him up and down.At first,Mason thought she didn't know what to say and was thinking.But now it just looked a little odd.
"So..." he sparked the conversation back up
"Oh yeah sorry.I was just reading you." she told him
"Excuse me?" Mason asked confused
If all the Cheerios were like this,his urges to date one were decreasing.
"Oh that probably came out wrong.I'm a observer.I can tell a lot about a person by observing them."
Mason,deciding not to dwell on that,moved on.
"So back to the duet." Mason began
"Oh I was thinking maybe you could come to my house or I could come to yours or..?"
"Your house is fine." Mason answered
"Great." Kat smiled,"We can exchange phone information later."
"Perfect." Mason replied
When she walked away,Mason shook his head in disbelief.Popular people were weird.
"Whose idea was it to be in this stupid club anyway?" Devonne muttered,checking her appearance in her mirror
"Well we all auditioned." Franchesca replied
Devonne rolled her eyes and twisted her curly,blonde,ponytail.
"I should have trusted my gut about not joining."
Franchesca frowned as Devonne shuffled through her bag for something.Her,Devonne,and Kat always did things together.It wouldn't be the same if Devonne left the glee club.
"It might turn out better than you think.I'm sure you'll sound amazing when you sing your duet."
Devonne took a second to think it over before reluctantly shrugging in agreement.
"I suppose you're right." Devonne answered,"Who's my partner again?"
"Parker.He's on the football team."
"There are a lot of guys on the football team." Devonne turned around to face her
"Curly,brown,hair.Used to go out with Stella." Franchesca continued
Devonne just raised her eyebrow.Did Franchesca actually expect her to know who this Stella person was.And curly brown hair? Every other guy at this school had curly,brown,hair she would know,she'd slept with most of them.
Franchesca sighed before saying,"You used to call him monkey feet."
"Oh yeah." the light bulb dinged in Devonne's head,"Monkey feet.Now I remember.He's in the glee club.He can sing?"
"Well considering he got in.I'd say so."
"Well it could be worse."
"Yeah you could have got Justin."
"And anything is better than him now isn't it." Devonne said walking out of the restroom
"I'm not gonna lie,I'm a little excited for the duets now." Ariana said to Dina
"You would be." Dina retorted
Ariana huffed and crossed her arms at the remark.Dina turned her head to see Ariana glaring at her.
"What?" Dina asked with a shrug,"It's kinda true."
"You should lighten up.You might have fun."
"If anything you're the one that shouldn't excited." Dina told her
"Why is that?" Ariana asked puzzled
"You got Kellan." Dina reminded her
"So." she shrugged
Dina forced herself from not rolling her eyes.She really loved Ariana they were best friends and everything but she sometimes never saw the big picture.
"He's Franchesca's boyfriend.And Franchesca is Devonne's best friend.And anyone that is a friend of Devonne's is automatically one of her minions.I bet she's like a mini Devonne."
"But I'm not even interested in Kellan.I barely know him."
Ariana didn't really understand what Dina was getting at.Her and Kellan were only singing a duet.It's not like they were arranged to be married or something.
"But will Franchesca see it that way?" Dina asked her crossing her arms
"I'm sure she will.And if she doesn't, it's not like I can't just talk to her about it." Ariana said walking ahead of her
"Good luck with that." Dina muttered
"Knock knock." Daniel announced with a smile
"Hey." Camille looked up from her cup of coffee,"What brings you by?"
"It was either come to talk to you or start grading the million papers I must grade and I think I chose the right choice."
Camille smiled and turned back around in her swivel chair as Daniel sat propped on one of the desks.
"So congrats on getting enough members for your club.Even thought I'm certain that a Latina Brunette told you that could do it."
"Any idea of who she is?" Daniel teased
Camille threw her pen at him hitting him in the chest causing him to laugh.
"I'm kidding." Daniel said between chuckles
"You better be." she warned though she was also smiling
"So this week I have the group singing duets."
"And how is that working out for ya?" she asked
"I'm hoping it goes well."
"I'm sure it will." Camille answered
"Let's hope so." Daniel replied
""What if we just kicked our partners to the side and did the duet ourselves?" Max suggested walking in step with Addison
"And why on earth would I do that?"
"Because deep down you know you secretly want to." Max shrugged
"You know you don't know people as well as you think you do." Addison said to him
"I never said I was the next Einstein."
"Not that you needed to." Addison replied
"You know I think you secretly enjoy having me around."
"You wish."
Addison didn't know if that was a lie or not.She did find him a little annoying but not having him around would probably bore her to tears.He also gave her weird vibes,ones that she hadn't tried to figure out yet.Ones she didn't know if she even wanted to figure out.
"I don't need to wish,I'm that good." Max said with a wink
Addison rolled her eyes as Max turned and walked away.She couldn't tell what was worse,the fact that she hated when he just walked away like that or the fact that he might have been telling the truth about her liking him being around.
"Who would have known that if of all the partners to get," Colby began,"I would get your girlfriend."
"You sound a little excited about that." Kellan teased
"Better her than someone else I could care less for." Colby shrugged
"What we talking about?" Franchesca asked
"Franchesca!" Kellan screeched,"You're not supposed to be in here?"
Franchesca shrugged and leaned against the lockers opposite Kellan and Colby.Colby just looked at Kellan like he was disturbed while Kellan appeared to be still trying to accept the fact that Franchesca had somehow sneaked in here.
"Oh calm down." Franchesca poked his bicep,"No one is gonna find out."
"Yeah,now I just feel uncomfortable." Colby replied
"Oh chill,guys come in our locker rooms when we change all the time." Franchesca snorted
"My point still stands."
"And here I was thinking that our duet partnership thingy might be a little fun."
"Well who told you to think things like that?" Colby smirked
Franchesca rolled her eyes to which Colby responded by sticking out his tongue.
"Hey Jack and Karen." Kellan butted in the conversation,"Cool your beans."
Instead of replying,Colby just leaned against one of the lockers while Franchesca huffed and crossed her arms.
"Okay now you should go,we gotta finish changing."
"Like I'd want to miss that." Franchesca winked
Colby's eyes widened,a little shock by her response.Instead of answering,Kellan simply hummed his annoyance.Franchesca seemed to get the message because she pushed herself off the lockers.
"I'll guess I'll be going." Franchesca said looking at Kellan
"Ya think?" Colby answered
"I'll see you later." Franchesca said and lightly kissed Kellan
"Wouldn't count on it." Colby called after her
Kellan didn't say anything as Colby shook his head and opened one of the lockers.Kellan heard him mutter something.
"What?" Kellan questioned
"I said you two need to find other places to have sex." Colby told him
This caused Kellan to erupt into a fit of coughs.Colby just stood there with his eyebrows raised as Kellan tried to stop the blush he had forming.
"We don't have sex." Kellan answered
"Yeah and I don't have ADHD." Colby snorted,closing the locker
"So how are the duets going?" Daniel asked
None of the glee club responded.They just all sat in their seats as if they were in an solemn mood.This caused Daniel to sigh with a friend.
"Well I suggest you all use this time to start working together.Being silent is gonna earn you leadership for Sectionals."
Reluctantly,members of the choir room got up to move around.
Over in his seat,Zander fiddled with his thumbs,he didn't know whether he should wait for her to walk over or should he just get the nerve to walk over there.Maybe he wouldn't have been as nervous if it wasn't for the fact that she was sitting with one of the toughest and baddest guys in school.
Dealing with Justin was enough,he didn't know if he had what it took to deal with Max too.Before he could even get up,he looked up to see Addison standing over him.She had her bag hoisted over one shoulder.
"You're Zander,right?" she asked him
"Um,yes." Zander nodded,"That's me."
"Cool." Addison replied,"So you're my duet partner."
"It looks that way." Zander readjusted his glasses
Addison plopped into a chair beside him.Zander watched as she dug in her bag.A minute later,she pulled out a notebook and pen.She turned to see Zander staring at her.
"Well," she said opening up the notebook,"I guess we better get to work."
"Hey monkey feet."
Parker looked up from where he was sitting with his friends.Devonne was standing across from him with her arms crossed.
"Um,may I help you." Parker raised an eyebrow
"Yeah,we have a duet to do.And I wanna win." Devonne told him
Parker turned to look at Ethan who didn't say a word.Parker shrugged and stood up.
"Alright then." Parker replied casually
Devonne rolled her eyes and muttered something.She then grabbed him by his jacket hood and led him away.
"You need to go over there."
Stella took her lollipop out of her mouth and looked up to see her best friend staring at her with her huge,brown eyes.
"Go where?" Stella raised her eyebrows
"You know exactly where." Sabrina flicked her head in Justin's direction
Stella scoffed and immediately shook her head,putting the lollipop back in her mouth.
"Oh no." she replied,"Not happening."
"You're being a child." Sabrina told her
Stella glared in response.Sabrina didn't budge.
"By refusing to participate you're being just as childish as he is.And we both know that is not you."
This caused Stella to sigh in defeat.Her best friend had her there.Justin was an extreme tool and while she rather step on glass than talk to him,she refused to stoop down to his level.She wasn't that type of girl.
"Fine." Stella huffed and stood up
"I'm proud of ya,Tigress." Sabrina replied with a smile
"Oh,not so fast." Stella crossed her arms,"You can't wear beanies for for the rest of the weak."
"What?! Why?" Sabrina's eyes widened
"Cause you owe me." Stella said simply
"What?! How?!"
"Because if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be in this mess." Stella twirled the lollipop in her mouth
"You picked Justin by the random ballot!" Sabrina protested
"Yes,but you forced me to join."
"I did not! You joined on your own!"
"Because I was trying to cheer you up.Like a good friend would."
"But..."
"Oh come on Sabrina," Stella smirk,"Don't be childish."
Sabrina didn't respond just sat back in the chair with a sullen look.After a few moments,she looked up to see Stella still gazing at her.
"Fine." she mumbled
"That's my doll." Stella said pursing her lips,"So starting tomorrow I don't want to see you in another beanie for the rest of the week."
Sabrina placed a hand on her white knit beanie in dismay.She didn't like this at all.But who was she to protest? Stella would just find more ways on why Sabrina owed her this causing her to once again agree to the deal.
"Okay,it's a deal." Sabrina told her,crossing her arms
"Nice to know." Stella turned around to walk away when she stopped
"Oh and doll."
Sabrina looked up to see Stella as she turned on her heel.
"Be glad I didn't make it where you couldn't wear your NYSNC hoodie."
"So our assignment is for us to sing a duet together." Franchesca said twirling a lock of her curly brown hair
"Mmhmm." Colby continued to check Instagram on his phone
"But this should be relatively easy for us because we have most of the same tastes."
"Yup."
"Well,Kellan and I like the same music.And for you and Kellan to be best friends you two have to like the same music too,right?" Franchesca said to him
"Mmmhmm." Colby replied,barely listening,his eyes still glued to his phone
Franchesca looked up to see Colby not paying a lick of attention to her.She crossed her arms in annoyance.
"And then we could invite Kat over and have a threesome." she added randomly
"Sure."
Franchesca rolled her eyes and flicked Colby's ear.Colby jumped and glared at her.She glared back.
"What is your deal?!" he asked,fiddling with his ear
"You weren't listening!"
"I was so!" Colby argued
They could continue to argue on whether Colby was really listening or not but she just decided to go against it.
"In order to win, we need to at least sound like we know what we're doing."
"Your point is..." Colby turned back to his phone
"Don't you wanna win the competition?"
"Uh,not really." Colby answered with a shrug of his shoulders
"Why not? Don't act like you aren't at all competitive."
Colby looked at her like she was some crazy alien that had just landed on Earth.
"This isn't football or baseball or heck even bowling."
"It's still a contest!" she argued
"But to win you have to sing." Colby said scrunching up his face
Franchesca narrowed her eyes at him
"This is the glee club,all you do is sing." she pointed out
"Yeah,but I rather not."
"Then why are you here?" she raised her eyebrows
"Being a good brother......making amends....yada yada yada." Colby dismissed it with a shrug
Franchesca could feel her face turning as red as Sabrina Luke's hair.She was so irritated she could explode or kick Colby in the gut with her sneakers.Or worse,both.
Taking a deep breath,she decided against both.It didn't matter about winning anymore.Colby was in the glee club which meant he had to sing and since the assignment required to them perform a duet,they were gonna do just that.Colby was gonna sing with her,whether he liked it or not.
"So you can come to my house tomorrow at around 6,so we can practice the song." Kat confirmed
"Uh okay." Mason said his hand on one shoulder
Kat frowned.He seemed to be such a downer.And she didn't know why.She was normally a cheerful person and she preferred to not hang with people that weren't.Well there's Devonne.But she's an exception to the rule.
"Oh and if you want you could stay for dinner." Kat offered smiling
Mason raised his eyebrows.She wanted him to stay for dinner? She barely knew him.And while part of him should be flattered to be invited to the house of any girl,he just couldn't find himself excited.
"I don't really..." Mason searched for the words
"Oh,I don't mean like my parents cook and we sit around the table.We could just order a pizza or something."
Mason opened his mouth to decline but then he thought of what would happen if he said no.Kat was a Cheerio after all not to mention she was best friends with Devonne Muse aka Head Byotch In Charge.And he wasn't sure if he wanted to be on her bad side.
"Uh,I suppose that would be cool." Mason said after a few moments
"Great,I promise this will be fun." Kat said punching his shoulder lightly
Mason laughed lightly as Kat walked away.He could tell she looked forward ten times more than he did.
"Okay that's it." Sabrina said closing her locker,"It's time for me to take a big gulp of confidence and go talk to him."
Ethan turned to see Max Franklin walking down the hall over to the water fountain.Suddenly he felt very weary.
"Maybe I should go with you." he suggested
"No,I should do this on my own." Sabrina decided
Sabrina took a deep breath to calm the million butterflies she felt swarming in her stomach.She had a feeling that the moment she began walking her legs would turn to jelly and she'd embarrass herself.
"Well,just ya know.Be careful." Ethan warned her
"He wouldn't hurt me.At least not you know... not in public eye."
Ethan gave Max another glance.He was now leaning against the locker as a tall,hot,brunette talked to him.He looked back at Sabrina to see she was staring at him intently.He didn't like it.Scratch that.He hated it.She was looking at him the way she looked when she got a new hoodie or beanie.
"Anyways,I should go before he leaves." Sabrina said
"Uh...okay." Ethan said scratching the back of his head
"Wish me luck." she flashed Ethan a small smile
Ethan was silent for a moment.What exactly was he wishing her good luck for? That Max Franklin was interested in her? Because if that's what she wanted.Then he wasn't about to give her his blessing on that.
"Um,good luck." Ethan forced the words out
"I'll catch you in class,okay." she said squeezing his shoulder
This caused Ethan to smile and immediately feel better.Oh,who was he kidding.This was Sabrina.He knew her better than anyone well besides Stella.She wasn't one to go after a boy like Max.So why was he worried.If anything she would probably be repelled by his bad boy ways.
"Okay." he replied smiling
Sabrina then walked over to approach Max.Ethan turned around to begin on his way to class but stopped abruptly when he saw someone blocking her path.It was none other than the athletic, Dina Washington.
"You couldn't be more obvious." she said to him
Ethan let out a sigh and blew one of his curls out of his face.
"What are you talking about?" he asked stepping around her and beginning to walk
"Oh come on curly top.You know exactly what I'm talking about." she answered,following him
"Can't say that I do.And what are you doing talking to me.We've never really been ones to talk regularly."
"As true as that is,we're duet partners remember?" she reminded him
"Oh right."
"And I'm referring to that huge,sappy,crush you have on the Strawberry Shortcake."
"Her name is Sabrina and I don't have a crush on her." Ethan said,making sure to keep his voice low
"I don't know if anyone has ever told you this.But you're a terrible liar." Dina told him bluntly
That made Ethan stop and turn around to look at her.She just reluctantly shrug.She wasn't about to deny it.
"You don't know what you're talking about."
"Um,excuse me.But I'm a girl.Not just a girl but I'm a very smart girl.Smart enough to know that your heart beat increased by like 20 miles by hour when Sabrina mentioned walking over to talk to Max.I also was able to tell that when she touched your shoulder you heart skipped a beat like twice." Dina crossed her arms,"Admit it,you're heads over hell for that little red rose."
Ethan just blinked and prayed that his face wasn't becoming bright red.
"Now if you want you can just continue to peddle around Sabrina like a lovesick puppy or you could actually put your game face on and do something about it." Dina told him,"Let me know when you make a decision.See ya around curly top."
And with that Dina turned around and sauntered off leaving Ethan all jumbled.
Suddenly she wanted to turn back around.Max was less than one foot away from her.Just seeing him standing there looking all rebel like and stuff made Sabrina feel like she was gonna collapse on the dirty,hallway floors.She should just turn around and go to class.She didn't have to talk to him today,right? Maybe she should just wait til tomorrow after she's practiced what she needed to say.Yeah that would be a good idea. Sabrina began to turn around but then she stopped.No,she couldn't do that.She needed to walk over there and get it over with.She was a big girl,she could do this.And if she made a fool of herself....no...she wasn't going to make a fool of herself.She could do this.
She had only took one step forward when she felt herself bump into someone.
"Oh my stars,I'm so sorry." Sabrina apologized immediately
"Oh my stars?" the person chuckled,"Who even says that?"
Sabrina looked up to see who she had bumped into.Holy fudge.It was Max Peters.He must have seen her standing in the middle of the hallway deliberating and decided to walk up on her.Oh gosh,she hoped she didn't look too much like an idiot.
"I'm...uh,I'm sorry." she said clearing her throat
"Don't be." he dismissed it
Sabrina suddenly found herself at a loss for words.She didn't really talk to most guys especially not ones like Max Peters.Even standing close to him,sent weird feelings throughout her body.
"Twizzlers,let me just say that you are doing nothing but increasing my ego by staring at me like that." Max said with a wink
Sabrina flushed deeply.She was staring.She knew she was at a loss for words but staring.How embarrassing.
Before she could open her mouth,he was talking again.
"I'd love to stay and chat,but the bell's gonna ring" Max scratched the back of his neck,"and I can't be late to Hudson's class again."
Sabrina couldn't find the words to talk so she just nodded.
"But I'll see you around." he said before walking away
"Okay." Sabrina managed to say
"Awesome." he answered with a wink
Sabrina's eyes widened feeling like the breath had been knocked out of her.Max Franklin had just winked at her.
"Sabrina?"
Sabrina turned her head to see Parker staring at her confused.Sabrina cleared her throat and adjusted her beanie on her head.
"Uh yeah." she casted her eyes towards the ground
"You're just standing here." Parker pointed out to her
"Um...yeah....you see..." she began
"No time for that.We gotta get to class." Parker grabbed her arm,"Let's go."
Instead of saying something,Sabrina just allowed herself to be pulled down the hallway by Parker.
Ariana was doodling in her journal,paying no attention to her surroundings,when she felt someone grab her by her shoulders.Before she could even let out a yelp,the person released her from the hold.
"What the...." Ariana looked up to see who the person was
Kellan looked at her with a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Gosh you scared me." she felt herself begin to smile
Sure,Kellan had grabbed her from behind some creep in an alley but surely he didn't mean anything bad by it.He was Kellan Moore after all,the all around good boy jock.
"Well you were so invested in that notebook of yours,you weren't even paying attention.You almost walked straight into that door." Kellan informed her
Ariana's eyes darted to what he was talking about.Once she realized he was right,she couldn't help but laugh.If Ariana was known for anything it was being a klutz.Thankfully,Kellan had stopped her from being a klutz.
"Thanks.Sometimes I just get lost in my own little world sometimes."
"It happens to all of us."
"Even you,the football superstar?" Ariana joked
"Oh yeah." Kellan nodded,"I fumble the ball all the time."
Ariana raised her eyebrow.
"Hard to believe."
"Well that's because I only mess up at practice." Kellan smiled slyly
"Anyways,um,I'm happy we bumped into each other.We have that duet for glee club."
"Oh right." Kellan nodded,"Well I have practice after school and then there's homework."
"No,that's okay." Ariana informed him,"I have to baby sit this afternoon anyways."
"How about I give you my number and when you're free this afternoon you can shoot me a text or something." he offered
"Sounds like a plan to me." Ariana shrugged with a smile
"Sure,give me your phone."
Ariana handed him her iphone so he could add his number to her phone.Once he was done,he handed it back to her.
"Thanks." Ariana returned her phone to her back pocket,"So I'll call when I'm free?"
"Sounds good to me."
"What sounds good to you?" someone asked out of the blue
Kellan jumped but Ariana was unaffected when Franchesca appeared upon them.
"Babe,what are you doing here?" Kellan asked proceeding to wrap an arm around her shoulders
"I wanted to know if you had my Physics textbook." she said to him
"Oh yeah."
"And you're name is Ariana right?"
Ariana looked up,realizing she was being talked to.She smiled and answered with a nod
"Well,we'll see you around." Kellan told Ariana with a smile

Kellan then began leading Franchesca down the oppposite end of the hall.As they walked,Franchesca gulped as felt a twisting situation beginning in her stomach.She didn't know what was beginning to form.She just hoped it ended soon.

"Looks like the rest of you better get on it if you wanna win this competition."
"Puh-lease.They don't stand a chance." Devonne said in the truest cocky way
"You sound real sure of yourself." Max noted
"That's because I am." Devonne answered,crossing her arms,"Who else is gonna win this?"
"Idk..." Max looked at Sabrina,causing her cheeks to heat up,"Someone else could."
"Whatever." Devonne scoffed walking over to her seat.
"So basically Coach told me I need to by on A-game if I wanna take us to the championships." Justin said to a fellow team mate
"You got what it takes." the guy said
"Well yeah..." Justin agreed,"I just need Coach to remember that."
"Justin." someone said from behind him
Justin paused from talking to his friend to turn to see Stella standing behind him with her arms crossed.Justin looked her up and down and then turned back to his friend.
"I swear all the girls want me these days.One day it's the cheerleaders,now it's the dancers."
"Excuse me!" Stella retorted,"I don't want you!"
Justin's team mate looked at Stella who appeared to be 3 seconds away from steaming.
"I should probably give you two some time to uh...talk." the guy decided
Before Justin could even open his mouth,Stella had grabbed him by his shoulders,turning him around.
"Wow." Justin bit his bottom lip,"I've always liked my girls strong."
"Ugh." Stella said with disgust,"This is so not what this is."
"It can be if you want." Justin said with a smirk
Stella pushed him against the locker.
"Whoa!" Justin said ticked off,"What is your deal?!"
"You are!" Stella snapped,"I'm not one of the girls in your little black book,you can't just flash a smile at me and expect me to take off my clothes!"
Justin said nothing just rubbed the back of his head which had previously been slammed against the locker.
Colby swung his bag over his shoulder and opened his locker when a letter fell out. He watched as the envelope fell to the floor.After a moment of hesitation, he picked up the envelope and opened it to see a slip of paper. He opened the slip of paper and on it was the description "Come to the auditorium".
Colby raised an eyebrow after reading the note.Who could possibly want to meet him in the auditorium? He knew girls were into him but what girl wanted to hook up in the auditorium?
Colby walked into the empty auditorium.Even the lights were off. Of course,no one would be in there.He should have known better.
"Hello Colby." he heard someone say from the stage
Colby raised his eyebrows as he took some steps back.Was someone messing with him? Was this a prank? You could never trust those football players.
A bright light shone on the stage revealing Franchesca standing there.Colby had the nerve to walk out right there.The heck was going on? Why was she standing in the middle of the stage like she was some Broadway star accepting a standing ovation?
But before he could even open his mouth to say anything,she ran off the stage to him.He should have ran out then,but no,he just stood there frozen.
"Uh,Franches..."
"Hush.Follow me to the stage." she cut him off,turning around and walking back to the stage
Colby looked at her like she was crazy.He always knew there was something not right about this girl.Was this what Kellan had to deal with? Because suddenly,he had a lot of respect for the guy.
"Are you coming?" she turned back around with a hand on her hip
Colby reluctantly nodded and followed her to the stage. Probably against his better judgement,though.
"Okay,I'm up here." Colby shoved his hands in his pockets,"What's the..."
He couldn't finish that sentence because music began to play out of no where.Colby looked at Franchesca who was simply smirking.He finally realized what this was.

But Colby wasn't even looking at them,he was too busy glaring at Franchesca,who wasn't paying attention.When she turned around and noticed his glare,she shrugged her shoulders innocently.
"Told you,I'd get ya to sing a duet with me." she replied,corners of her mouth turned up for a smile,"Wasn't that bad now was it?"
Colby just responded with a roll of his eyes to which Franchesca elbowed him playfully.
"Uh,Addison."
"Yes?" Addison looked up to see Zander standing there nervously
"Oh,Zander." Addison nodded at him,"Hi."
Zander stood there for a minute awkwardly. He fiddled his thumbs like he was unsure of what to do.Addison waited a few seconds to see if he was going to say anything.After realizing that he wasn't going to,she decided to say something.
"Is there something you wanted?" she tried to ease the conversation
"Oh yeah,I uh...I think I have a song we could sing." he told her
Addison hoped her face didn't show her disbelief.She was kinda feeling like talking with Zander was like driving on a street going no where.Maybe she was wrong.

Zander nodded and then went his own way. Addison proceeded on her way to the lunch line when Max stepped right next to her.Addison playfully rolled her eyes.Of course,he'd show up sooner or later.

"I was just witnessing your conversation with Clark Kent over there and it seemed to have went really well." he replied sarcastically
"Oh yeah." Addison grabbed a bowl of grapes,"What about your duet? How's that working for you?"
"Switching the topic aren't we?" Max questioned
"Of course you'd see it that way." Addison answered,"No,but have you even talked to Sabrina?"
"Who?" Max question,perplexed
"Sabrina?" Addison repeated,"You're supposed to sing a duet with her.You called her Twizzlers."
"Oh." Max snapped his fingers in remembrance,"Yeah,the girl with hair the color of strawberries."
"Guessing that means you haven't talked to her about the duet."
"Well...." Max began
"Don't you think that instead of being over here trying to flirt with me,you should be with her?"
"Are you asking me to spend time with another girl?" Max smirked,raising his eyebrow
Addison raised her eyebrow at the humor dancing in Max's eyes.
"See there you go trying to flirt again."

"Just go work on your glee club assignment." Addison said before taking her lunch and going her own way
Max turned around to go in the opposite direction when he saw Sabrina entering the cafe with her friends.Max took a moment and began making his way over,deciding to follow Addison's orders.
"You slammed his head into a locker?!" Sabrina exclaimed, a wide look in her eyes
"Well,I wouldn't use the word,slam per say."
Ethan and Parker exchanged glances with one another.
"She slammed him." they agreed in unison
Stella rolled her eyes as Sabrina twirled more Ramen noodles on her fork.She took a bite before saying anything.
"Stells," she said looking at her,"You know that wasn't the plan."
"Not that we had a plan." Stella reminded her,"But still,he deserved it."
Sabrina raised her eyebrow,not that she didn't believe her best friend,but she'd be lying if she said Stella didn't have a small temper.Not to mention,it was obvious her and Justin didn't get along.
"You still have to find a way to do the duet."
"Ugh,why can't I just sing a song by myself?" Stella groaned
"Um,maybe because that's not the rules." Ethan answered
Stella simply took one of his fries in response.Ethan opened his mouth to protest,but Parker nudged him not to.
"He's like a douche bag,how am I to suppose to work with that?"
Sabrina opened her mouth to reply but stopped when she saw Max walking in their direction.
Stella was about to respond when Sabrina called Max's name.
"What are you doing over here?" she asked once he was at their table

Sabrina swore she could feel her stomach doing somersaults and cartwheels.Ethan frowned while Parker and Stella just watched what was happening before their eyes.

"I was actually thinking we meet up at this little diner after school.I think better after I've ate." Max informed her
"That's totally cool with me." Sabrina said with no hesitation,causing Ethan's frown to turn into a scowl
"Great,see ya around Twizzlers." Max winked before walking away from their table
Sabrina felt herself exhale once he was no longer in their presence.
"Well then." Stella popped a pretzel in her mouth,"Now I know your plans for today after school."
"We're just discussing the duet for glee club." Sabrina told her
"Sureeee." Parker teased
"Well,I am a little excited." Sabrina admitted
"You are?!" Ethan blinked,his voice full of astonishment
Sabrina looked at Ethan questionably.Parker took a sip of his coke to keep from laughing.Stella just kept munching on pretzels.
"It could be fun." Sabrina said after a moment
Ethan didn't respond this time just looked at his food a little sullen.Parker leaned over to whisper in his ear.
"Your jealousy is showing." he cackled
"Shut up." Ethan muttered,elbowing him
"Okay,what's wrong?" Kat asked walking to sit down next to Franchesca in the choir room
"Who said anything was wrong?" Franchesca shook her head
"Just tell me."
"There's nothing wrong." Franchesca protested
"That's how I know that there most definitely is something wrong." Kat concluded
Franchesca didn't reply just played with her shoelaces.Kat didn't say anything for a moment just observed her best friend.That's how she noticed that every few seconds Franchesca would glance in Kellan's direction.Kat darted her eyes over there and saw that Kellan was deep in conversation with Ariana.Suddenly everything made sense.
"They're just talking,I don't see either one of them with their clothes off." Kat noted to her
"Huh?" Franchesca looked at her
Kat simply flicked her head in Kellan and Ariana's direction.Franchesca was silent.She went back to observing her shoelaces.
"I feel like I shouldn't have to remind you that you have nothing to worry about, but I will."
"You don't know what you're talking about." Franchesca crossed her arms
"So you're not looking at them every few seconds? That's just my imagination?" she asked
Franchesca twirled a lock of her hair between her fingers.She didn't want to admit the obvious.Okay so perhaps she had been bitten by the green monster.She couldn't help it,Kellan was a guy.A hot guy and a football player.What girl wouldn't want him?
"Oh come on Chessie." Kat wrapped an arm around her shoulder,"Don't start fretting."

On one hand,she didn't feel threatened at all.This girl seemed way too nice to steal another girl's boyfriend.But you never knew right? Jennifer didn't expect Angelina to steal Brad and look what happened there.

This caused Franchesca to smile and her heart to jump.She immediately got the reassurance that she needed.

"Curly top." Dina greeted with a smile when Ethan sat down next to her on the bleachers
"Hello Dina." Ethan said,taking a drink from his water bottle
"So I'm guessing you're over here because..." she began
"I wanna talk about the duet." he confirmed
Dina bit her bottom lip to hide back a laugh.Of course,he didn't come over to admit his secret adoration for Sabrina.Never would Ethan do that.
"Yes of course." Dina nodded,"Have any songs in mind?"
But Ethan didn't say anything,Dina's guess he wasn't even listening.Considering he was just sitting there staring at his tennis shoes,Dina was pretty sure she was right.
"Okay,so I could go on with a list of songs that we could sing...." Dina nudged Ethan with her shoe,to get his attention "Or we can talk about whatever happened with Sabrina and bad boy hottie."
"I didn't say anything about Sabrina." Ethan answered

"Dina." Ethan wiped the sweat off his face,"Can we not?"
Dina crossed her arms and then moved down to the same bleacher bench he was currently sitting on.
"Well if you could pay attention." she told him,"Then we wouldn't have to talk about what's currently on your mind."

Ethan huffed,blowing the hair out of his face.Dina sat there for a moment and then an idea popped in her head.
"Okay,we don't have to talk about it." she decided
This caused Ethan to snort and turn to look at her with his eyebrows raised.Clearly,he didn't believe her.
"I'm serious.I won't say anything else."
"Okay," Ethan said looking at her,"Since you're done thinking you know everything and trying to play love counselor."
Dina opened her mouth in protest but then closed it letting out a small huff.She said she wouldn't say anything else about it and she was gonna keep her word.
"So do you have any ideas?" she said switching the subject
"Well not really." Ethan admitted to her
Dina snorted,"Probably because you've been so busy..."
Dina stopped mid-sentence and not just because Ethan had began to arch her eyebrow.But because she had just thought of an idea.Dina moved back to her former bleacher bench and got out her notebook.
"Ethan." Dina began shuffling for a clean page
"Yes."
"I have an idea." she kept talking as he opened his mouth to respond,"But I'm gonna need you to cooperate with me okay."
Ethan shrugged,casually to Dina's approval.
"Okay,sure."
"Great." Dina said looking at him with a smile,"Because I think I have an idea for a duet for us."
